QTP and Clearcase
      01/27/08 09:59 PM

Hi All,

I am working with .vbs files and we've used ClearCase as our repository. when we tried to edit it in QTP , we were not able to Check-in.
(We were getting "text_file_delta: Error:it contains a '\000'.This object's type does not support check-in of binary data." in CC.)

This was happening because whenever we edit through QTP, the Encoding of the .vbs files changes to Unicode, and we have to change it to ANSI so that we can check in again.

I have a couple of questions on this :
1.why is it happening so ?

2.Is there any way we can avoid that ? meaning, can we edit through QTP and still retain its encoding as ANSI ?

Thanks,
Abhijeet
