Winmgmt object access
      #541329 - 01/04/09 08:49 PM

Hi All,

To access windows system information we used WMI scripting n VBS.

Can anyone tell me how to use this methodology in SILK?

I was using following line of code (example)

Dim objWMI
Set objWMI = GetObject("winmgmts:")
Dim comSettingsComp
Set comSettings = objWMI.ExecQuery("Select * from Win32_ComputerSystem")

Hi,
Silktest does not have COM support and you can't use the same code as VBScript. YOu can create VBS to do all your operations and write the data into a text/log file.

You execute the VBS by using silktest (use SYS_Execute method) and then read the log file through silktest.
