What happened to QA Partner from Segue?
      #275630 - 10/11/00 11:25 AM

I've been away from the world of automated testing for a while. I noticed that QA Partner is not currently listed on segue.com. Has this product been dropped or changed?

Merged into silktest at version 4. Silktest will do both GUI and UI testing, but if you need to run an agent on MAC you need to stay with the older version of QAP. There is no MAC support in the current version of Silktest.

When SilkTest came along to take care of Web-based apps, there used to be an option to toggle between it and QA Partner (while running QA Partner). QA Partner does Windows apps and SilkTest does Web apps. Later on Segue decided to combine the two and just called it SilkTest.
So if you're thinking of testing Web apps, you really would not want to partner with the old QA Partner.

The SilkTest executable is your old friend partner.exe.
