Script Parameterization
      #113962 - 04/23/04 03:57 PM

Hi
I have a dat file with 3 comma separated columns like Claim Branch, Claim Number and Check Digit.
I am trying to run a 2 vuser test from the controller machine.
But each of the vuser should read a different set of (claim number, claim branch and check digit).
That is read data from different rows of the dat file for each of the vuser run.

How do i do this.

Thanks, mh

Ya i will coinside with James. Go to "parameter properties" and set the "Select Next Row" option to "Unique" and set "Update Value on" option to "Each Iteration" and then enter the enough values in the patameter list. i.e you are ruuning script for 1 iteration for 10 users you should have 10 values in the parameter list.

Yup,thanks anyway
I was trying somethings and thatz the reason messed the stuff..but now it is working.
anywayz I hv used the unique as the select nextrow criteria but have selected the "each occurence" as the update value on criteria for a file type of parameter type.
will this be a problem?

HI Mh4201
Unique is not a problem as long as you have enough data in the file. Each User blocks the size when he runs.

mh4201,

You may be better of selecting the "each iteration" rather than "each occurance" option as this will persist the parameter value through 'til the end of the script.

Regards

Baz
