Select value from WPF Dropdown Menu
      #719844 - 11/15/12 03:52 AM

Hi,

Application built on WPF + .Net 4.0. and is a desktop client.
There is a scenario in my testing that when I type some values in the editbox there opens a suggestion drop down. From the drop down we need to pick the values.
But I am unable to spy over that dropdown object and also cannot add that in the OR.

Since there are more than one value suggested when we enter the exact value in edit box, can't select 1st value by hitting Enter.

Any suggestions....

You can create in repository 2 or 3 non-ddl(WebEdits and/or WebElements) objects instead of one drop-down list. Then following behavior of these objects you can process everything as one drop-down list (in script).
To open WedList, which is recognized as WebEdit, you can use FireEvent "onClick" (just for example). If opened list with values is recognized as group of WebElements you can process them in cycle, by selecting of desired value via FireEvent "onMouseMove" for corresponding WebElement item.

You can also try Sendkeys option, once the first value is selected, u can send the "down" key and select..
