QA for Health Care
      #717767 - 10/09/12 10:54 AM

Hi,

I am in the process of creating a new QA group for a major hospital. I was hoping someone has had some experience in this setting and can suggest some of the better tools for this setting. Ideally we will be testing EMR's, financial, and ancelleries.

Thanks!

Hi brocsavage,

It's quite challenging question. I myself don't have expertise in QA for Health Care but I think the article could help you a little http://www.initiativesinc.com/resources/publications/docs/QAinJordanPHCIBestPractices.pdf
For the tools suitable, I would recommend you to take a look at qTrace - Screen Capture & Documentation tool for your system testing, and qTest - Cloud-based Test Management. Maybe I'm biased yet it's worth looking at these tools.

Are you testing software or processes? Within Healthcare and Hospitals there are a wide range of processes, procedures and regulations that need to be taken into account. Familiarity with those is a priority, but experience and domain knowledge of any kind in those areas are also a plus.
