What is the goal of your assessment?

Are you trying to assess usability? Performance? Test coverage? Bug count?

The goal of our assessment is, under the guidance of a cost-benefit trade-off analysis, to assess the quality of software under test.To different kinds of software, is there standard metric to evaluate? How to do?

No, there is no standard metric. There are however many different flavors of numbers that some folks like to generate.

A quick search for "software quality metrics" would turn up dozens of ideas for churning out numbers that you could decide have some relationship with the quality of your software.

You might decide that any of these are useful to you:
- bug count
- defect leakage rate
- mean time to failure
- defect density
- count of failures in the field
- bug fix rate
- defect arrival rate
- defect fix rate
- etc, etc

You could define KPI (Key performace indicator) which corresponds to
some stress test and check progress of maturity ( Fail percentage) from a release to another release.

Maturity level is to be defined by Quality responsible.

QA activities, follow CMMI certification process.
