Change Request | Change control
      #708092 - 05/26/12 11:26 AM

Hi friends, I want to ask you about Change Request. First I want to share you what I know about it. I know 2 things please clear if I am wrong.
1. Once the Business Requirements is signed off and now Client wants to make some changes, then with in same existing documents or in other separate documents we can change that requirement.

2. While testing application, suppose I come to know a link is opening new window but it is not as defined in requirements. So I log a bug for it. But my manager says that make a change request for it. So I write it in document as change request.

Can you tell me am I right in both scenario or not.

Thanks & Regards,
Robin Tyagi

Both answers seem reasonable to me.

Robin,

1st one is correct

2nd one -
When u find the bug and u log it as enhancement and, bussiniess(CCB) has to come up with Change request. Tester will not make a change request i think.

Win

The original poster said "But my manager says that make a change request for it."

I think you do what your manager tells you to do, or you find yourself looking for a new job.
