To ensure the website is secure, and to find any security bugs.

Hi,

If you are looking time to market as a factor i would suggest you to use commercial automated vulnerability scanners Hp webinspect arcsight acunetix (you can expect false positives so use multiple tools to confirm on vulnerability)

There a whole lot of free tools which are handy like webscarab, parosproxy, nikto, skip fish, back track,Few Firefox addons firebug, tamper data, Hack bar ....

Check OWASP Sansorg websites for more information.

Thanks,
Prasanth RJ

I'm puzzled why this topic is in Exploratory testing. I think security and exploratory are in 2 distinct worlds.

Hi All

According to me secuirity tsting is done in order to determine the security of the software product

Security testing comes under functional testing
Now a days security is the important concern for a product or software. There are many ways to do the security testing. There are certain field which needs to be tested properly for security concern e.g. password

Thanks
Sudhansu
