Hello,

In my actual role I have to develop a configuration management concept for a small testcenter. They make integration tests and stress tests. So always the software, hardware and testdata, testconfiguration were changed.
The main goal is that the configuration for a test can be recovered to repeat a test with a specific configuration. The tester get the software, reinstalls the server, create testdata and reinstall the server when a new release is delivered. They use virtual maschines for the servers.
As testmanagement tool HP Quality Center is used. Other data is tracked with Excel.
The testteam only consists of few members. So i don't need a big solution.

I am really new in this field. Can you give me some advices where to start?
