Multi-Browser support via VB script or Java
      #685094 - 09/13/11 08:03 AM

It may be a dumb question but since we have to support Chrome and other browsers.Question pop up in my mind..

We use Silktest Classic with OA/4test, it doesn't support Chrome
Then what about Silktest workbench which uses VB scripting or Silk4J which uses Java, shouldn't they support these browser since VB or Java is suppose to be much more powerful than 4test?

VB scripting and Silk4J use the Open Agent. However, the Open Agent does not support Chrome.

I'm actually trying to work with Silk4J with Chrome. My understanding is while the Open Agent doesn't support Chrome you can playback scripts against Chrome.

Has anyone done this successfully?

You can practically record anything using SilkTest. However, if SilkTest doesnt support that specific technology, it will most likely record coordinates instead of objects.

Since gecki's comment some time has elapsed (look at the date). Meanwhile Chrome is supported by ST (since ST 13.0)
