      #656164 - 01/14/11 03:51 AM

Hi,

Can anybody tell, how to identify/record what controls are there on a dialog box (e.g. Editbox, Button,List etc.) in VT ?
Like child object in QTP ....

Thanks,

The main tool for identifying controls is the Winfo utility that comes with Visual Test. Simply drag it's targeting icon over the control in question and you should get the information you need provided the controls are the old style win32 or MFC based ones.

For newer WPF style controls I pretty much work with them exclusively through the accessibility commands. Winfo can get you the information you need to do that as well.
