How to expand/collapse a row in AdvancedDataGrid
      #640037 - 08/25/10 09:22 AM

We have these expandable/collapsible tree rows in our tables. I have been trying to get the row to open without any success. I am assuming the:

"advancedDataGrid.Open(itemRenderer, [triggerEvent])"

is intended for this, but I couldn't figure out what to use for the "itemRenderer". Seems like no matter what I use, I get a:

"Error during executing the Flex event 'Open::FlexAdvancedDataGrid' Error #1069."

Has anybody successfully used this method? How does one construct the "itemRenderer" for this method?

The itemRenderer is just a string of the items of the row you wish to select, similar to the Select method for a DataGrid.

It would look something like...
FlexGrid.Open (*Item1* | Item2 | Item3)

Another way...
If, in your data grid, you have an object, such as a link or a image that triggers opening a row, then you could have the script click on the desired object to open the row.
