Window is invisible and thus cannot be activated
      #635922 - 07/23/10 02:47 AM Attachment (86 downloads)

Hello All,

I can record script but I cannot run script
because 'The WindowsConfirm window is invisible and thus cannot be activated' error.

I attach file picture windows which TC cannot activate but I can see and manual click.

In picture ,TC cannot click Yes/No button.

Thank you,
Kanoon

Hi Kanoon,

I am guessing that you are testing a WPF application. Am I right?

Please check the Visible property of the WindowsConfirm window and let me know whether it has the False value. In this case, it seems that this behavior is caused by a non-standard way in which the window is drawn on the screen. Can you provide us with your application or a sample application with the same confirmation window demonstrating the problem? You can contact us directly using the Contact Support form.

As a workaround, you can calculate the position of the needed button object and perform a click on this position. For example:
Code:
//JScript
function myClick(obj)
{
var x = obj.ScreenLeft + obj.Width / 2;
var y = obj.ScreenTop + obj.Height / 2;
LLPlayer.MouseDown(LBUTTON, x, y, 0);
LLPlayer.MouseUp(LBUTTON, x, y, 0);
}

Hi Kanoon,

I am glad that the workaround script has helped.

You check the property of the button object, while I told you about the Visible property of the WindowsConfirm object, which is a parent of the button object.

Hello,

I got the same Problem. Our applikation is not web based.

Anyone else got the same Problem? Or even a different solution to the one above?

Greetings from Germany.

Hi Kanoon,

The object seems to be correct. In this case, we need to reproduce the problem here to investigate it. Please contact us via the Contact Support form if you can send us the application or a sample application demonstrating the problem.

tman5, to say what happens in your case, we need to look into it deeper. Please reproduce the problem, pack the entire project suite folder and send us the archive via the Contact Support form.
