      #636398 - 07/27/10 01:51 PM

I am using QA Load 5.8 and created a scripts with datapool. My local datapool having multiple records. I need to create record for each and every row as per the data available in my datapool.
My scripts getting the data from first row of my datapool and creating a record and coming out from the loop. It is not taking the 2 records onwards.
Where is the problem.. I am new to this tool.. Please help

You (most likely) need to move the datapool read inside the transaction loop.

Hi Drazle,

Is there any command / feature available in QALoad 5.9, to lock datapool record assigned for a particular user to use.
We are using shared data pool during test run.

Regards,
Mahesh

I'm pretty sure it works like...

Datapool type - "locking" type:
  • Local - distinct rows per script
  • Shared - distinct rows per PC
  • Global - distinct rows per VU (all VU, all PCs)

So perhaps you need to use Global scope datapools (?).

    Hi drazle,

We had heared about usage of local and central data pool. from QALoad 5.9, we made use of feature shared datapool. Iam not able to on usage of global datapools.
Could you please explain us how to use datapools with scope as global?

    Regards,
    Mahesh

Sorry, used the wrong term... global=central. If you only want 1 record from the datapool to be used for 1 VU accross all users then you would use central.

    Hi Drazle,

    I have one query here.

If i make use of central datapool for 10 virtual users comprising 2 player machines with 5 users and assign same script in two player machines. Will it guarantee each user from both the machine will take a unique record?

    Please clarify

    Regards,
    Mahesh

Yes, that is what the Central datapool does.
