RPC Server Error

Hi,

I installed the Test Director 8.0 on my machine which is WinXP SP3 and IIS 5.1.

After successful installation When i accessed the TD URL its showing me following error:

Error in parameter [TDsrvURL]
---------------------------
Error : The RPC server is unavailable


Press OK to continue or CANCEL to close application.
---------------------------
OK Cancel
---------------------------

Then i ran the TD Checker Utility... and its not showing me any error.

Then When i tried to access the URL
http://mypcname/TDBIN/default.html
Then it shows following :
Server Error in '/TDBIN' Application.

The resource cannot be found.
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested URL: /TDBIN/default.html

Can someone please help me to resolve this.
I will graeful to him as I did lots of internet searching but didnt find any solution to it.

Did you try re-installing the software ?

Also did you contact the HP support using your login credentials given by them?

Reinstallation of the SW is not necessary to solve this issue. Have you checked the app server to make sure that all required services are running? Further, is the userID they're running with an Admin on the server?

This is an issue you can find on the HP SSO KB. It's worth your while to setup an account on that site so you can access the variety of Knowledge Base articles there.
