Fast Stone Capture is the very good tool for capturing screen shots during testing.

But of course it isn't Open Source.
Testers should always read the Requirements.

Hi,

I use Print Screen and Paint.net.

I can easily edit, crop, add comments on screenshots.

Worth the try.

Greenshot is my favourite. It's open source and automatically saves in different formats/locations or opens for editing if you want.
You can also set up hotkeys to capture different parts of you screen more easily.

Hi All,

As per my experiance PRint Screen is the best and easy way.

User can Save it as .jpg and when he wants to edit it open with paint.

Thanks.

You may find ZScreen suiting your need.
- It supports full screen, active window and crop regions.
- Several options to where to save to your images to (directory, FTP, Image shack).
- Custom automatic naming convention.
And above all, it's open source as preferred.
get the setup file at ZScreen section at http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/screen-capture-tools-40-free-tools-and-techniques/
