CM for a project using Oracle Hyperion?
      #597576 - 10/21/09 06:27 AM

Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience they can share of implementing a configuration management process for a project using Oracle Hyperion tools?

I am currently working at an organisation using Oracle Hyperion Planning, Financial Management, Financial Data Quality Management and Data Relationship Management. There is no formal configuration management process in place and the argument against having one seems to be that traditional processes and source control tools dont fit well with Hyperion tools, as

1. Not all of the changes made are file-based (I.e. many dont result in a file that can be neatly checked in and out of a source control tool.)
2. There is no concept of combining changes into a build

It seems like there are a number of tools available specifically for use with SAP EPM that track changes between environments etc, but I can find nothing similar for these Oracle tools.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Many thanks
