Baselining in SharePoint

Hi all,

Is baselining of artifacts possible in SharePoint? If yes, how to do it? the Labelling mechanism is not there in SharePoint

We have sharepoint 2007 and what we have is the concept of a minor and major publish.

minors are 0.1, 0.2 etc and major is 1.0

so incase we want to baseline a CI, we do a major publish of the CI
