Getting HTTP Errors due to default proxy

Hello All,
I am new to ACT. Just started learning the tool. Whenever I try to record and run a test using ACT, the default proxy is creating HTTP errors for all the requests passed to the web server. Can anyone tell me how to get rid if this default proxy setting and also un-necessary HTTP errors like 4xx.

ACT uses its own default proxy, and the settings are not changable (even in the preferences - there is a proxy setting there but it doesn't go to it...).
