e-Tester vs Ext JS 2.0
      #522548 - 10/07/08 08:28 AM

Hello there,

does someone have the experience in Ext JS 2.0 automated tesing with e-Tester?

I'm using VBA to find elements and do needed things with them. But I have problems operating certain controls, for example:
- clicks in the grid control are not working (nothing happens);
- clicks on Ext JS' tab headers are not working;
- firing event with "onmouseover" doesn't open sub-menus;

Does someone had similar difficulties?
Help is much appreciated.

Thanks

I see Ext JS + e-Test is not so popular sheaf

In case someone stil want to help these are the samples I have troubles with:

http://extjs.com/deploy/dev/examples/grid/xml-grid.html
http://extjs.com/deploy/dev/examples/tabs/tabs.html
http://extjs.com/deploy/dev/examples/menu/menus.html

Just a quick thought ... if you are still working on this, are the ids of the objects dynamic? This might be an area where to concentrate.

I see this is a fairly old post. Wondering if you ever came up with a solution. If not you may want to use the web extensibility module in QTP 10. We have just started working with the module and after going through the tutorials it is showing some promise

Seems like Oracle came up with a solution as I just tried those referenced pages in the latest release of ATS and the automation seems to work as well as the object tests. So just upgrade and go e-Tester (now Oracle OFT/OpenScript) will work fine for you.
