      #398215 - 07/17/07 12:26 AM

May I know the reason behind server shutdown prematurely error.
Does this error the end user?
Is this because of of the unstable application?

Does this have any relation with access violation error?

As has been stressed earlier, please follow the posting instructions. Also, can you clarify the error - is it 'Server shutdown prematurely' or 'Server shutdown connection prematurely'?

Thanks

Please precisely complete the ** POSTING INSTRUCTIONS **. They are near the very top of this forum. Service may continue at that point if you are not expecting interactive training. If you are expecting training, please work with your employer to arrange for it and/or a strong mentor. Training may have been purchased as part of the LoadRunner purchase. Have you looked into that?

The 'server shut down connection prematurely' error is one of those elusive errors for which there can be no single solution - it can occur due to various reasons. Some of the reasons that I have come across during my testing and from others' experience-
The number of concurrent connections configured in the web server was too less
The TCP IP window size on the web server was too small
The web server was suddenly stopped in the midst of a test run!!
Excessive network delay
Keep Alive settings on the tool and server
and so on...
All these were during load tests and not single user playback. So it is advisable to monitor all possible resources to determine the root cause.
Regarding the Access violation error - it is a compiler error - can occur due to many reasons again - but debugging this requires a more reactive approach and cannot be done by looking at a set of possible solutions.
