AOR utility + Java
      #151854 - 11/06/03 05:49 AM

Hi,
has anybody experience with this AOR utility.I have Java experience but i don't understand the logic, how a helper class interact or should be implemented in this AOR utility.

In the JDK Version 1.4.02 Version there is a applet demo called SpreadSheet.Has anyone an idea how i could get the value of this table ? And code example oder any example how i implement a helper class would be nice.
Thanks.

Basically with an AOR helper you are extending the jci base class to include your custom classes. Here is the template to get you started.

import com.compuware.jci.*;

public class AORHelperTemplate extends HelperBase
{
}

I don't have the spreadsheet sample, but you should try using tableItem in QARun.

Hello,

I am trying to use AOR too, I have created my own Java files but I can not compile them because I don't know where this com.compuware.jci package resides. Can anyone tell me where this is installed to by default? Then I will be able to add the location to my classpath and continue.

Thanks!

I found it!

(For Test Partner) The package resides in a JAR file in the testpartner directory : c:\Program Files\Compuware\TestPartner\jci.jar

I am using TestPartner 6.2.0, and have had this really weird problem, where the jci.jar file doesn't contain the main package (com.compuware.jci, etc), and only contains one package (com.compuware.jci.util).

This means I do not have HelperBase, etc - and therefore it is impossible to do AOR. Anyone else experiencing this problem and managed to resolve it?

Brendan, any TestPartner user who has experienced this problem will probably be found in the TestPartner forum. I don't expect may contributors here look at the QARun forum any more.
Would you like to move this post to the correct forum?

There is a really interesting reporting system where you design the templates in Microsoft Office. It makes the layout trivial. There's a good review of it at An Evaluation of Windward Reports.For more information please visit website:http://forums.asp.net/
