Same experience here, normally have at least 5 or 6 groups of the little monsters, er... darlings, but only had one last night

Not to worry too much droman26 and peternairn...
All those kids (about 100 at least) came over to our house all the way up until the 9th inning of the World Series game! Geeeee... we almost ran out of candies...
(hehehe almost called digits too she has plenty of leftovers as we all know)

We had some munchkins - about the same as last year.

And yes, I had plenty of left overs which my coworkers have been happily munching on all day! Better on their hips than mine!!

Cow-a-bunga dude!!!
Shssssssshhhhhh...i'm not gonna work for you digits. I'm really sorry

Imagine if your boss tells you "Here guys. Have some candies. Have some more. Better in your hips than mine."

At first I thought you said "lips" not "hips". You could have at least said that you ate "half" of them already last night. muha muhaha

Droman and Peter -

Absolutely the same here. I have no comparison to last year, as I was living in a different house, but we got exactly 2 trick or treaters. The children of the policeman who lives across the street, and a cute little guy dressed as a policeman who came because roomie was outside looking for trick or treaters for me!! That was it!

And from what I've gathered from co-workers in my office and my roommates, it was a lot of the same all over in North Jersey/NY border towns... I suspect it has more to do with the Anthrax cases than the 11th, but it was rather depressing for those of us who love the little ones!

I think it depended on your neighborhood. We took my nephew and cousins trick or treating and it seemed like there were a bazillion little Buzz, Woody & Princesses all over the place!!

Oh, I'm sure it did, at least to an extent. When we went to the store to get something for dinner, I saw kids all over - but in large groups, at particular houses, like for parties and such. I just didn't see many going door-to-door. Very depressing, I tell you! I love seeing the little buggers!

Too bad. The little buggers were adorable!!

My nephew was Buzz. My cousin's son was Buzz also. Her daughter was Snow White. My cousin dressed up as the wicked stepmother from Snow White, and her husband dressed up as Grumpy!

My four month nephew was "Daddy's Little Devil" Dad is a major Devils fan.

And we picked up a neighbor's kid to trick or treat with us - he was Woody.

If my pictures come out - I'll send one over to you!

I went to the Rocky Horror Picture Show with four "virgins". I was not one - now they aren't either! The place holds 1150 people and it was sold out! Many in costume. What a blast. Must make this an annual thing.

Happy Halloween 2012!

Any good costumes in the office? I'm dressed as Jesus right now and I'm getting lots of compliments.

What's everyone else sporting today?

11 years! I think that's a new record!

We don't get to dress up at the office.

Bringing back old threads is nothing, I also brought myself back from the dead, TWICE!

No dressing up in the office? That's a real bummer SteveO.

Considering the amount of time I spent cleaning up after Sandy the past two days I had no time to do anything for the office. Kids will go out tonight and that's most important...on Halloween all sorts of things come back from the dead!

Office has been closed since Monday afternoon. A power pole was knocked down during the storm, the electricity went out, and we have to work from home.

I'm dressed in jeans. Not very scary, but functional.

Mind elaborating on that one Ian? Or are you just injecting negativity into a positive thread for no good reason?

Halloween is a lot of fun, and I don't see anything wrong with it. And I certainly wouldn't refer to it as stupid.

I think your post is stupid because you're being negative and you didn't even explain yourself.
