One of the new guys in my team bought your book in a while ago, it very good to teaching new users, we train our own teams for the banking automation, we start off with basic course, then give them a project and with your book they are able to work through it well. I notice your posts very helpful on this forum, unlike others you try actually give an answer or point them in right directions.

There are lots of very good contributors on this forum Paul, giving a little time to try and help fellow QTP members. Perhaps when you have used the forum for a few months more you will see that.

Mark Smith.

I have started working on the next of the unplugged series and wanted to have feedback of the readers before hand. The book would be based on Object identification, Object Repository concepts and descriptive programming

- What you need in the book?
- What different from the QTP Unplugged book?
- Any other suggestions?

================

I need the information about web automation testing.

How to user QTP, utilize descriptive programming to create/modify objects to operate the web element.

And reference about web properties, as we know, when use Object Spy to check the properties, for example, it display "class name" in Properties column, "web element" in value column.

But to create a web element,
==========
Set objAccDIVDesc = Description.Create()
objAccDIVDesc("micclass").value = "WebElement" ;
===========
we use "micclass" as class name.

why is that? I am confused about those difference.

This book has been delayed. I don't have ETC for this. But there is a new one that would be released in few months.

Tarun

Tarun - back in April, 2011 you mentioned the quote above. Has the new book been released? If not, would you have any status updates you can share with everyone?

Thanks!

I will also suggest same. Please write a detailed chapter on "Step by Step Framework development".

For eg-How we create different folder fot test data, object repository, config file , Log file, Test results , Scripts etc and how do we link driver script to pick up details from each folder and run the required automation script.

Hi Tarun,

I have read your 1st book. It is outstanding effort you have done.

I hope Next Edition Will give more and more knowledge to us about Framework Design.I know that we can not put complete code but you can add new ideas about framework if you can...

Regards
Rahul
