Can WinTask GetProperties of a control/object?
Im trying WinTask out and I'm liking it so far. Much less convoluted than Rational Robot. But I need to get some properties from a Combobox like the count of elements, the width, etc. Can WinTask do this? or is it mainly only for seeing and inputting and not able to do object recognition to this level?
That will be a major factor unfortunately.

WinTask can get some of the properties of some objects.
For example, the Capture$() function can often get the textual contents of an object like a combobox.
But it's not going to have as complete set of built-in GetProperties as a dedicated test tool like Rational Robot.
WinTask can use functions contained within DLLs, though, including system DLLs.
So to get the rectangle of an object (which would give you a way to compute the width), you can do something like this:
If you are trying WinTask out now, you should try it against your applications and see what it can do.
And when you are ready, some of these scriptlets might help:
