Combining automation with manual testing
Some of you might already know of this. Anyhow, thought I'd share this article I recently read.

Automation has its shortcomings and manual testing has its shortcomings, but you can make both work well together sometimes. Partial automation + manual/exploratory testing could be better than full automation or standalone manual testing. The examples given are for web and GUI application testing. Not sure how well they would apply to your QA test activities. It might be something to keep in mind when we test.
