    AJAX Testing

Has anyone had experience with Firebug yet? I'm just beginning to play with it but would be interested to hear other peoples thoughts/experiences.

    Re: AJAX Testing

It's an extention that can be used within Firefox when testing applications with AJAX. Bad week here so I haven't gotten to spend any time learning it, but more info can be found here:

    Re: AJAX Testing

Hi, I just had a look at it. It can probably be used to set breakpoints in an AJAX functions and then step through the process. Lot's of nice features. I did get it to hang a few times, but overall very high marks.
For a quick start go to Google maps and click Firebug's Console|Profile to start capturing. Navigate around the Google map. Click Firebug's Console|Profile to stop the capture. Drill down into some of the captured function calls. Set some breakpoints in the functions using the context menu(RMB). Go back to Google map and navigate like you did the first time. You should hit a breakpoint. Then F10 to step into the code. Mouse over the vars to see the current values.
