We have developed a travel portal in which, we are using 5 different Webservices from different vendors.
Can anyone explain about their prior experience testing websites integrated with a webservices?
To test the webservices, we need to concentrate on the following things.
1. Testing of SOAP messages, WSDL files, consumer and producer emulations.
2. Testing of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA)
3. Testing Dynamic Runtime data and performing orchestration testing and versioning testing.
If the system is developed in ASP.net, Please check the below link for information. http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/05/03/TestRun/
Should we test the webservice functionalities onceagain, which is already tested and deployed by the service providers? or just test the website functionalities alone?
Yes a basic sanity test of all would be good thing at this stage.
Hey why do we need to do testing on code separattely. Thats the job of developer n thts unit testing know?????
