I was doing a testing for our company’s web-based application. While doing so, I disabled the cookies of the browser and surprisingly I could not enter the site. I enabled them and entered into the site. And then again disabled it and I found that our applications 75% functions were not properly running and causing the errors.
You need to find out if the application is supposed to work without cookies. Speak to the analysts who specified how the system was supposed to work.
If the site is supposed to work without cookies, then it looks like you've spotted a bug. If the site was always designed to have cookies enabled then you could suggest that they put in a message warning the user that without cookies the site will not work.
Everywhere's within walking distance if you have enough time.
beter u sud write all ur testcases for cookies then start. ok go to option of IE and make the settings so that the browser will prompt you bfr storing any cookie.just note down one by one and try to understand each part of that text. then do some permutation and combination and try all the cases.
Then try to edit the variable name of the cookie and try it.also check the application after disabling the cookie option in the browser.
