I am trying to record and playback the events performed on Flash Objects embedded in a Web page. I am using VC++ (MFC Classes) Window functions such as GetClassName, GetParent etc to identify the window class the user clicks and then trying to get the properties of the Flash menu item or Flash control such as Control ID or menu text, etc.
I am able to get the Window classname as "MacromediaFlashPlayerActiveX". But, I am not able to get the Control ID or other properties of the Flash Object in the Web page.
Do you have any idea on how to get the events or properties of a Flash Object in a Web page from VC++ or from any other programming languages.
It seems that you are writing some thing for testing Flash Applications. Presently only one tool is supporting the Flash object recognition and that is QTP 6.5.
Coming to your point, if you observe the Spy++ utility, you can see the ControlID of the Flash object. You need to see how Spy++ gets this Control ID. There is one function to get the Dialog's control ID called "GetDlgCtrlID", this might help you.
