Testing Server side components??
I am a newbie to QA field.I have gone through QTP,WR etc user guides. My question is how do we test server side components. For eg; EJB contains the business logic which resides on server.how do we test that?just test the web page like the sample application in QTP tool without worrying about what exactly is happening at server?another example is WR tool has sample application called flight reservation.its a client server application.does testing the gui side handles the testing of server side too.No particular effort is needed to test server side?
Thanks for your time.
Re: Testing Server side components??
I've done unit testing of EJBs through their remote interfaces using plain old junit. Getting the naming context and client descriptors set up correctly can be challenging but it's very effective.
I've heard of ejbunit but have no experience with it.
