Manual Testing Template
I just accepted a QA position with my company and really do not have any formal experience in this area. We are a small software company that develops ASP.NET applications. At this time we do have one automated testing tool (Astra), but are about to begin work on a testing project that does not lend itself well to automated testing.
I need to write a manual test script (Word, Excel) that outlines the steps taken, expected results, pass/fail, etc. I have seen discussions about these types of things, but does anyone know where I can find a good free template to download?
Also, if anyone can recommend any good books for a newbie, that would be appreciated as well.

You might try http://www.qadownloads.com/Templates/ on this site or go to stickyminds.com.
As for books, I highly recommend the web testing handbook by Steven Splaine or Testing Applications on the Web by Hung Q Nguyen.
