I guess Mercury Load Runner has the cability of telling you the download time and size of the components on a web page.
You will have to choose the "Download non-html resources" in your runtime settings.
One thing is that in an SRC if you are swapping images @ every visit of a user to a page which will be a part of Jscript code, all images will not be downloaded / recognized.

QALoad from compuware. Give it a shot with a proof of concept. That will tell you the answer about them. And their price points are better than Mercury.
