Re: Java Testing

Hi Divya,

Winrunner is a tool for automation. All it will do is verify what you want it too. For more details - you can post a query on the Winrunner forum - there would be more chances of your query being answered that way . This forum is a general forum for web testing - not specific to any tool.

Best of Luck!

Re: Java Testing

If you're new to testing, you'll probably want to take some kind of course or get a book in it if you don't have anyone available to teach you. Its not very practical to teach someone how to test in a forum such as this. Specific questions are more appropriate. Check out the links tab above for books and other resources. For Winrunner specifically, there should be a tutorial in the help section.

Re: Java Testing

hello Divya,
Assuming that the application you want to test would be web based i am giving you some tips.
1) First get a hang about winrunner as to how it automtes etc. If you know then well and good.
2) What ever you are going to do manually would be recorded by winrunner.
By this way the application would be identified by winrunner.
You also need to programatically test the application using winrunner to cover the different workflows.

Hope!! my suggestion would help you.incase still you have some doubts do write back.
