internet - intranet - proxy setttings.
Hi Everybody, I have a situation where I have to test an internet application in intranet environment. It is possible that some of the links which are available in intranet may not be in internet. Some solutions that I can think of are 1) testing it from home thru the internet 2) Having a dialup connection from the testing client PC to the internet through a third party ISP. I heard that that there is a third party proxy service which can be used to simulate this effect without having to spend a lot of money on the dialup connections... Any insights ? Thanks much.

Why not just plug the computer at work into the phone and dail up through some free service (or get a free month promo) from someone? That way you know everything else is identical other than the ISP. (do remember to unplug your Lan cable before testing though)
