Looking for a Link Analyssis tool
Our Web site needs UserID and Password to Sign-In which make us so hard to find a link check tool to test the web site. All the tools I have tried so far only can scan less then 50 links for our web site, then stop because of the Sign-In reason, For instance, Astra Site Manager.
Do anyone has the similar situation? Any suggestion for the Link check tools?
Re: Looking for a Link Analyssis tool
I have the old standby that I always recommend: LinkBot from WatchFire. They have two main versions of this: a personal edition for about $300. The problem with this is that you are limited to 1,000 links and the reports must be viewed within the tool.
They also have Linkbot Developer Pro (which is basically a combination of Linkbot Developer and Linkbot Enterprise). This can scan unlimited links and can easily handle the logging in situation that you are referring to.
Problem: it can be somewhat pricey. But, I will say, you do get what you pay for with this tool because it can also do site depth reports, browsers differences based on tags, as well as search for common usability/accessibility issues.
