i m looking for information about Client/Server speed factors including the client side, the server side, the network, the database and any other factor that influance the speed of the application.
That's a question I can answer, because I don't think it can be answered in a forum, it's such a broad question.I'm sure some people in this forum could write it all down for you, if they had lots of time. I think whole books have been written about this.
There are a lot of sites to help you measure performance, based on all different factors.
So you could start at: http://www.qacity.com/testtype/load_links.html
Personally, I have purchased the Capacity Planning for Web Performance: Metrics, Models, and Methods by Daniel A. Menasce,Virgilio A. F. Almeida. This has been a good resource for me.
And, in looking at Fatbrain.com, it appears that they have published a revised edition of the book entitled Capacity Planning for Web Systems...with roughly 300 pages worth of additional material. (Might be time for me to upgrade my book. )
