Firefox Releases & Testing
Soon to begin testing my company's plug-in for Firefox. The dev team says it was built for FF 3.6 & up. Problem being there have been 14 additional sub-releases of 3.6 in the last year. Is there enough appreciable difference between each release that I should work with multiple versions, or are there specific releases I should be targeting w/respect to functional testing? Thanks in advance for any advice.
Re: Firefox Releases & Testing
I am not very sure so please do crosscheck.
I too tested our Firefox plugin/ extension for Firefox 3.6 and above versions and tested in 3.6.13, 3.6.14, 3.6.15 and 3.6.16 and the results were same.
I believe your extension should work perfectly if it works in 1-2 versions.
Just a suggestion: You must take care of different sites while testing your plugin becuase it behave different in flash supported, netframes website.
All the best!
