For a webapp I am testing, i am lost on how to check for 'blank pages' for certain builds.
My purpose is to launch the webapp and verify if it is not a blank page ( verify if it has certain objects, banner)
I tried puretest, but the test passes once the url launches successfully.
Can anyone throw light on this ?
Use the DOM. Read the web document yourself and look for information about what is being displayed by the browser...

As Ciege says, you will have to check the DOM.
If you wish to use Sahi, you could check using
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
It will return the innerhtml of the webpage, if it's blank means webpage doesn't showing any content. But yeah it may have content in it's head tag.
I don't make the software, Rather I make it better.
