I'm looking for some kind of a plugin for IE, if a text exist in the content of the page either pop up a window or send me an alert.
Purpose: We are testing an application, in the content of the pages we shouldn't see the keyword "Free", so I want this plugin to let me know automatically if a text "Free" exist in any page that I navigate to. Everytime the text "Free" exists in the content of the page pop-up a window or highlight or alert me.
I use WinTask a lot. It would probably be easy to have a WinTask script running that continually looks at the text in the page you are currently viewing, and does something (like pop up a message box) if it sees the word "Free".
I'm sure lots of other tools could do that too, but I don't know if any of them are IE plugins.
You can write the code to constantly check the web page for the key word then compile that code as an EXE. You can then run the EXE so that it is resident in the background always checking. Not too difficult to do really.
