Help Needed - Testign AJAX based Call Centre App
I actually needed some sort of help for an assignment related to SQA and I though this forum might be of help.
I have been asked by my manager to "forget the conventional QA" and bring in "drastic changes to the QA team and the work." Our team will be launching a web-based call center solution based on .Net, AJAX and ExtJS. I have been involved in analysis, design and the development of the product thus I have expertise on the domain. For the QA and testing, I have to focus on the agent screen module (the tool that the CSR will use to make/receive calls) and the screen designing module (tool used to design the screens for campaigns, these screens are then used on the agent screen module).
I intend to focus on performance testing, load/stress testing and security testing other than the functional testing which a few guys in the team will be assigned to do. Following is what I have in mind regarding these.
Performance: rendering issues at different type of networks platforms, time lag with network speed varying, Network Connection Issues, Loading times, Operation completion times
Security: Numerous Entry – Exit Paths, Firewalls,Penetration Testing, SQL Injection, XPath Injection, Cross-side scripting, DoS attacks, Cookie Poisoning Issues, Header based exploitation, Brute Force Exploitation of Web Application Session IDs
Load/Stress: Concurrent requests, large number of multiple users simaltaneously, loaded DB etc
* First, am I right to consider these three as the foremost strategies to bring in "drastic changes" or there can be any more. If there is anything else I need to do with these, please add.
* Second, to achieve these, what techniques do you suggest to use. I mean the stragegy, tools or any general comments/ sggestions or recommendations. I have been exploring various tools and found LoadRunner good for load tetsing but thats not free and I am not sure if it will support AJAX.
* Apart from the two queries stated above, any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Any documents/templates that you may have will be of help as well. I already have good amount of information and data available to kick start the project but I just want to get a different opinion from an expert.
I know all this sounds a bit vague but I hope this makes some sense.

We dont have problems with functional testing. A couple of guys are working on that and that will be done well, I have just of focus on perf/security/load testing.
