Trying watir but need to know whats the latest set up?

    Hi everyone,
I'm trying watir but I'm a little confused by whats what.

Do I need both the selenium web driver and the watir one? What does each do for me?

I have minitest and test:unit installed but it seems that minitest is the latest? Should I avoid using test:unit?

Any hints for a good ruby (free) editor?

I haven't done Watir, but I've done Ruby on Rails development.

I think You probably should just use RVM to create a sandboxed version of Ruby and bundler to install gems local to your project. This will handle the dependency management for you. For the framework, I think I'd probably go with RSpec, more ruby developers are using it. It'll give you more options when you want to extend your framework with say reports and making it part of a CI process.

    Thanks for the info.
I'm going with Watir and MiniTest to start with.
