I am new to VSTS 2008 Testers Edition; but used QTP and SilkTest extensively.
I am to do web test and load test on sharepoint 2007 sites and site collections.
Can someone who has experience in testing sharepoint using VSTS share their experience [from installation to test results] so that i can take care of those points.
When we test sharepoint sites / site collections,
So the web test results are purely 404 and unable to find out the exact reasons.
Any help on this would be of great help.
Yes, 404 can be a problem with the webtest but they could also be legitimate bugs in the code such as requesting for a non-existant resource file.
You could also try Visual Studio 2010 beta that will handle all of these problems since it is a GUI automation test tool.
I have also had cases where the JS and CSS come from different environments and they do not need to be called. Make sure this is not your case, if it is you will want to stop making those calls during your test.
