meeting - in person - other active QA Forums members
I've been very much enjoying the exchanges on this website, and thought it would be great if there were opportunities for face-to-face meetings with some of the members. Of course - that's hard when they're geographically all over.
But, for anyone in the New York City area, there is a Mercury User's Group meeting on June 7th at the Credit Suisse building from 5 - 7, and I plan to be there.
It would be a great pleasure to meet in person any of the members that I've had exchanges with, or that post regularly to QA Forums.
If you'd like to attend, a registration is required, so please vist the site and register first.

...just a little sarcasm and cynicism. Don't want to let the Mercury reps off too easy.
I plan to address the Mercury marketing concept of "Zero Configuration" Keyword testing. This term seems to stay with me.
All automated testing - especially Mercury's products, requires a level of 'configuration' unparalleled in the software industry. I include in 'configuration' all the settings required by your object repository, all the custom functions and workarounds you need to reliably get and set data in your GUI, and all the specialized knowledge to make all these configuration settings work.
