This quarter's presentation is just around the corner! It is next week to be exact.

The presentation is "Automating the Automation Tool" and will be presented by Jim Hazen.

Jim Hazen:

A 20+ year veteran in Software Testing, Jim has worked with many types of applications on the Microsoft / PC platform
for COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf Software), VAR (Value Added Reseller) and internal IT (Information Technology).
Jim began working with COTS Test Automation tools in 1992 and has been working primarily with the HP/Mercury tools
for the last 10 years, and specifically with QTP since 2003.

Jim has worked in various capacities during his career including Test Lead, Automation Developer/Architect , Manager,
and Director of Consulting. He has been a presenter at multiple professional conferences including STARWest and SQuAD Con.

Automating the Automation Tool:

This session will include a high level overview of the QuickTest Profession Automation Object Model (AOM) and how to use VB.Net
to build a simple interface for the execution of scripts. The presentation will demonstrate how a user can start to build their own
custom version of the old Multi-Test Manager tool. In addition, the demonstration will cover what needs to be done in VB.Net to enable
the applet to be able to talk to QTP and drive it, how to pass data to the QTP script, and how to handle the passed in data from the applet.
