Standards and Guidelines for User Interface
I am new taking a formal approach in UI testing.
I noticed that there are many books which are available which explain "what all" may be considered.
Some explains the problems in a subjective manner (I can relate to it, since usalibility requirements are difficult to write or pen down)
Never the less, I am wondering if anyone is aware on specific guidelines/standards which talk about UI.
For example - the application should be "easy to understand" - how do we "attempt" to develop a metric. (surveys and multiple user interviews may be a technique though)
Also, checking out - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_interface#Consistency
mentions three aspects. Was wondering if anyone is aware of any documentation which explains these aspects in detail... maybe with some examples.
