Testing Products

Has anyone used or evaluated a functional/regression testing product that runs on Solaris with Mozilla?
I am looking for a web testing tool that is similar in usage to WinRunner.

Re: Testing Products

What do you mean with Mozilla? Do you mean that can drive Mozilla? Segue use to have a version of Silk that could run on Unix.

If you just want a tool that can drive HTML then there are a lot for Unix. One would be Perl.

Hi,

there are several X TestTools. I knwo "xnee" and "xautomation", but i dont knwo if the work on solaris with mozilla.
Xnee works like WinRunner in "Analog Modus".
In the "QA Forums -> Software Testing -> Automated Testing " Forum, i asked yesterday, if the is public interest in a forum for x testing, with no replay till today

Re: Testing Products

ThoughtWorks distributes Selenium open-source. It runs in Internet Explorer, Mozilla and Firefox on Windows, Linux and Macintosh; so if it won't work on Solaris, you might be able to modify it. I don't know if it has record functionality though, if that's what you mean by "similar to WinRunner".

I think selenium would be best choice.
