I have MS-SQL procedure for reporting purpose. It accepts various parameters and gives the table variable after applying the different logic.
Now, I need to write the test script to verify the procedure.
Can anybody advice me what would be the approach that I can follow here.
I am thinking to write the script that may gives the drilled down list of records, but doesn't seems effective, the queries being used in procedure would be repeated in the test script as well.

Re: Writing Script for testing MS-SQL procedure...
This may be the good ol' baseline/benchmark verification versus live data verification. I've run into this a few times and I was usually forced to choose the baseline because verifying against live data was just repeating the sql statements that the developers used. Other times I was told I had to go against live data and so I just basically repeated the SQL from the requirements (ie. without looking at the code). I always had to get the developers to help though since the requirements were not enough.
