    Peforming Coverage manually ..

    Hi,

    I am interested in knowing how to derive the test cases for Branch Coverage, Statement Coverage and Cyclomatic Complexity from a given code.

    Say for example.. given the following code:

    Result = 0
    Read( age)
    If age < 18 then
    While age <> 18 do
    Result = Result + 1
    Age = Age + 1
    end do

    Print " You can start driving in (Result) years"

    else

    Print "You can start driving now"

    end if

    My question is how about deriving the test cases
    for

    1) Branch Coverage
    2) Statement Coverage
    3) Cyclomatic Complexity

    One possible hint what i got was.. to make a Control flow graph.

    Note that I am not the greatest at reading psuedo code, but testing for cyclomatic complexity (AKA basis-path coverage) in this example will result in 100% branch coverage and 100% statement coverage.

    Cyclomatic complexity for this example = 3.
    Total branches = 4.
    Total statements: I count 11.
